In July Woodland Youth and college students loaded up their tools and work clothes and traveled to Pittsburgh, PA for World Changers/P2 combo project. A group of 10 youth and adults spent the week on work teams rehabbing houses and working with church planters in the “Steel City.” Woodland Youth have been participating in World Changers and other construction missions since Jackson, MI in 1998. Now World Changers offers a choice with the Combo projects. Students can choose to work on a construction site or with a local church planter on such things as evangelism, food/clothing distribution, survey research or any project the church planter provides. This give students who aren’t construction-minded the opportunity to serve in other ways.

In Pittsburgh our students slept on the floor for the week, showered in trailers and ate in the cafeteria of a local Christian school. They traveled all over the city daily to work on homes and assist the church planters. In 2017 the group will again participate in World Changers/P2 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
