College is an exciting and transformative time as you grow in independence, transition out of your childhood home, and discover an identity all your own. During this process of growth, transition, and discovery, it is vital that you do not remove God from the equation. With the start of college life, one’s pursuit of Jesus can get lost in the busyness of course work, hours spent in the library, campus life, and part-time jobs.
As an avenue for helping you stay grounded in the faith, I would like to invite you to join Woodland’s group of college-aged young adults. We are a group that desires to become better disciples of Jesus who love God, love others, and live on mission.
Please feel free to join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 9am, followed by a time of donuts and coffee at 10am, and our college-aged Bible Study at 10:30am. We also try to gather regularly as a group to hang-out and have fun, look for opportunities to serve our community, and find ways to get plugged into serving the larger Woodland community.
If you have any questions, would like to know more about Woodland, or want to connect with another Christian in Peoria (coffee/tea is on me), you can reach me through email firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone (309) 691-2096. And, by the way, my name is Jeff – Minister of Youth and Young Adults.
